Features and Functionality:
- Equalization modes: The plug-in supports standard NAB, IEC (for 15 IPS speed) and AES (for 30 IPS speed) equalization modes, which meet different standards for recording and playback to magnetic tape.
- Adjustable EQ settings: Fine-tune the frequency balance with separate EQ controls for recording (Bass +/- 10dB, Treble +/- 14dB) and playback (LF +/- 10dB, HF +/- 14dB). This allows you to shape the tonal character of the film.
- Head Bump adjustment: Control the head bump effect in the low end, a characteristic gain between 65Hz and 105Hz that occurs when playing back from magnetic tape. You can adjust the frequency of this effect and its gain from 1dB to 8dB, adding body and weight to your tracks.
- Film Noise Control: Bring an authentic element to analog recording by adding controlled film noise. You can adjust the noise level (+/-30dB from approximately -76dBFS RMS) or turn it off completely if you want maximum clarity.
- Film Saturation: A key element of analog sound! The SN03/SN03-G emulates the natural compression and harmonic saturation that occurs when recording to tape, adding warmth, density, and character to your tracks.
- Level Control: The plug-in features input and output gain controls (+/- 24dB each), as well as full VU meters for visual monitoring of signal levels, just like a real studio recorder.
