Pampulse

Pampulse: A Powerful Dual-Oscillator Synthesizer from Funk Station

Introducing Pampulse – a virtual synthesizer developed by Funk Station, which combines intuitive controls with flexible sound synthesis capabilities. This plugin is designed for musicians, producers, and sound engineers who are looking for rich and dynamic timbres in their tracks. Pampulse is an excellent tool for both quickly creating basic sounds and for in-depth sound design experiments thanks to its architecture, focused on the power of two oscillators and flexible modulation.

The Heart of Sound: Two Oscillators

The foundation of Pampulse is two independent oscillators, each playing a key role in shaping the initial timbre.

  • Each oscillator has independent octave adjustment, allowing you to easily create richer sounds by combining different registers.
  • Available selection of 7 different waveforms, providing a wide field for experimenting with the basic tone from soft and smooth to sharp and saturated.

Detailed Control and Flexibility

Pampulse provides advanced features for fine-tuning the interaction between oscillators and the overall sound character.

  • The second oscillator has special controls that significantly expand its functionality:
    • Transpose: Allows you to shift the pitch of Osc 2 relative to Osc 1 at fixed intervals.
    • Mixing (Osc Mix): Controls the volume balance between the two oscillators, allowing you to smoothly transition from the sound of one oscillator to the other or mix them in the desired proportion.
    • Fine Tuning: Allows for micro-pitch shifts of Osc 2, ideal for creating chorus effects, “fat” detuned sounds, or imitating slight analog inaccuracies.

Dynamics and Motion: ADSR Envelope and LFO

To give the sounds dynamics and life, Pampulse is equipped with a standard, but effective, envelope and a powerful low-frequency oscillator.

  • ADSR for AMP: The classic Attack, Decay, Sustain, Release envelope allows you to shape the dynamic profile of the sound, from sharp attacks of synthesizer percussions or basses to smooth swells of pads and long decays.
  • Flexible LFO: The low-frequency oscillator is a key element for adding movement and modulation. It has various routing capabilities, allowing you to modulate different parameters of the plugin, such as:
    • Pan for creating stereo movement.
    • Filter Cut Off for “wah” and “squeaky” effects.
    • Filter Resonance (Res) for adding character and accentuating overtones.
    • And other parameters, making the LFO an extremely versatile tool for enlivening the sound.

Timbre Shaping: Filter with Envelope

The filter in Pampulse is an important tool for further shaping and “sculpting” the sound coming from the oscillators.

  • The built-in filter has its own envelope, which allows you to dynamically change its parameters over time, creating effects that respond to key presses.
  • Available in 4 filter modes, which allows you to radically change the tonal color of the sound, cutting off or amplifying certain frequencies.

Compatibility

The Pampulse plugin is available in VST format and is compatible with Windows operating systems (32-bit). This ensures easy integration into most popular DAWs on this platform.

Whether you’re creating electronic music, hip-hop, ambient, or experimenting with sound effects, Pampulse from Funk Station offers the necessary tools to realize your creative ideas. Try it in your next project!
