Marazmator

Marazmator: Generator of Incredible Sound Forms

Marazmator by Stone Voices is not just a synthesizer; it’s a true experimental instrument for creating unique sound effects and textures. This plugin is capable of generating extraordinary sound forms that go beyond the usual perception, opening the door to an endless sound landscape.

Due to its capabilities, Marazmator is ideally suited for creating atmospheric sounds of space, imitating natural phenomena, reproducing noises of technical equipment (engines, mechanisms, instruments), or generating absolutely abstract sound objects that are difficult to describe.

The Marazmator synthesizer will find its place in various modern electronic and experimental music genres, such as Ambient, Chillout, Industrial, Noise, Dub, Jungle, Drum’n’Bass, Trance, and many others. It is also a powerful tool for sound design, allowing you to create special effects for audio tracks in various applications, games, theatrical performances, films (documentaries, fantasy, mysticism, etc.).

With its help, you can create both very long, morphing sound forms, and repeating rhythmic loops. We are confident that using Marazmator, you will be able to bring new sound ideas into the world that will surprise listeners and make your music or sound design more diverse and interesting.

Architecture and Features

Marazmator is a monothematic synthesizer, as polyphony in this case does not always make sense due to the specifics of the sounds generated, which often do not have a defined musical tonality. However, if there is a need for polyphonic mode, it can be implemented by creating several instances of the plugin in your DAW.

Functionally, the synthesizer is a set of interacting modules:

  • Three Generators

Each of the three generators has four types of waveforms: sine, triangle, saw, and inverse saw. The oscillations of each generator can be subjected to amplitude distortion (direct and inverse) and bit reduction. The generators are connected in a certain scheme, providing nine switching options and different interaction modes, including frequency (F) and multiplication (M) modulations.

  • Pipe Filter

A virtual analogue of a pipe through which the sound passes, resonating on overtones depending on its geometric dimensions. This unique module adds unpredictability and organic elements to the sound.

  • Low and High-Frequency Filters

Adjustable LF and HF filters with different types of filtering, including a biquadratic filter, Butterworth and Chebyshev filters. These filters allow you to precisely shape the tonal balance of the output signal.

  • Effects Block

Includes flanger and reverb modules that allow you to further process the generated sounds and add space and movement to them.

  • Pattern Sequencer

Allows you to create and play rhythmic patterns, which is especially useful for generating cyclic sound effects or bases for experimental tracks.

  • Preset Management Block

Provides convenient saving and loading of your settings and sounds.

Included with the Marazmator installation, in addition to the synthesizer itself, are banks of presets, sequencer patterns, and a detailed reference guide in English and Russian. This greatly simplifies the process of mastering and effectively using this powerful plugin.

Marazmator is a tool for those who are looking for new sound horizons and are not afraid to experiment. It will help you create truly unique and unforgettable sound moments in your music compositions or sound design.
