Eclipsis: Hybrid Wavetable Synthesizer for Deep Sound Design
Discover new sonic horizons with Eclipsis – a hybrid wavetable synthesizer from zOne.sk. This powerful instrument combines the best of the wavetable and subtractive synthesis worlds, offering musicians and sound designers incredible flexibility and depth for creating unique timbres.
The Heart of Sound: Oscillators and Wavetables
Eclipsis is equipped with three independent oscillators, each with its own frequency settings and subtractive modulation capabilities. With a wide library of 118 basic wavetables and three additional tools for modifying them, you have access to an impressive 1888 unique waveforms. Each oscillator offers complete control over output routing, detune, phase offset, ADSR envelope, smoothing (1-pole LP filter), panning, and amplitude. FM and subtractive modulation modules are also present with a large number of filter types (17 types) and flexible control sources.
Unlimited Modulation Possibilities
The true power of Eclipsis is revealed in its modulation matrix. Six LFOs and 9 modulation input sources can be freely assigned to 39 different parameters, allowing you to create dynamic and complex sound textures that evolve over time. Modulation amplitude control on each assignment ensures precision in sound shaping.
Rhythmic Patterns and Dynamics
The Arp/Gate (Dynamics) module is a key element for creating moving sequences and rhythmic patterns. With the ability to assign to 7 targets, adjustable number of steps (from 4 to 32), frequency control and divider (allowing, for example, to divide a 32-step pattern into two 16-step patterns), as well as different playback modes (Forward, Forward and hold, Backward, Backward and hold, Ping Pong), this module provides extreme flexibility in creating arpeggios and gated effects. Separate sections for controlling semitones (+/-1 octave) and octaves (+/- 5 octaves) with randomization, shift, save and load functions make it an incredibly powerful tool.
Built-in Effects
To complete your sound, Eclipsis has two independent effect racks. Each rack contains Reverb, Chorus/Flanger, and Delay effects (which can be synchronized with the host), allowing you to add space, movement, and depth to your synth parts without the need for external effects plugins.
Ease of Use and Preset Management
Eclipsis is designed with user convenience in mind. The built-in preset manager, unique comprehensive preset randomization, and the ability to save/load sub-presets significantly speed up the process of creating and modifying sounds. Other useful features include:
- Master amplitude control
- Polyphony / voice selection (up to 32 voices)
- Portamento (glide)
- Smoothing control for modulation and gate
Eclipsis is more than just a synthesizer. It’s a full-fledged sound laboratory that allows you to experiment, discover new sounds, and realize your most daring musical ideas. It’s ideal for creating atmospheric pads, powerful basslines, complex leads, and dynamic textures.
