Despite having a modest 5 slots for loading samples per patch, this instrument compensates for this with extremely wide possibilities for configuring effects and parameters for each individual sound. Sample Slots and Detailed Control
Each of the five slots in GanGsta is a full-fledged sound channel with its own settings. Here’s what you can control for each sample:
- Pitch Settings: Three modes for precise control:
- Fine (+3/-3 octaves) – for free, precise tuning.
- Octave Snap (+3/-3 octaves) – octave snapping.
- Semi Snap (range of 11 semitones) – tuning in semitones.
- Playback Direction: Forward/Reverse option for creative effects.
- Loop: Looping the sample according to the duration of the note in your DAW.
- Stereo Widening: Make your drums wide and voluminous.
- ADSR Envelope: Full control over the attack, decay, sustain, and release of the sample’s volume.
- Filter: Presence of low, band, high-pass, and notch filters (LP/BP/HP/Notch) with mix control.
Tempo-Synced LFO and Effects
GanGsta offers powerful tools for adding movement and space:
- Tempo-Synced LFO: Can be connected to panning, filter, or both. Synchronization range from 4 bars to 1/4, including dotted notes and triplets. Three waveforms (Sine/Triangle/Ramp) and a Release Sync option to control the use of waveforms.
- Independent Stereo Delay: Each slot can have its own delay with separate control of the volume of the right and left channels. Free or tempo-synced delay from 4 bars to 1/16, including dotted and triplet notes.
- Independent Reverb: Each slot also has its own reverb with size and Mix Presence control.
Global Effects
In addition to individual effects, GanGsta offers four global effects to which all 5 slots can be connected:
