Cherry Snare was recorded with special attention to detail, using five high-quality microphones: two overhead, one underneath, and a stereo pair to capture the room’s ambience. This configuration allows for a multifaceted sound and the ability to mix it from four independent channels. The overhead and bottom condenser microphones used a tube preamp with vintage 12AX7 NOS tubes (Class A), while the dynamic microphone on top and the stereo room pair used transistor preamps. This approach guarantees exceptional quality and sonic character.
