- LFOs (Low Frequency Oscillators): Two LFOs per voice. They have three speed ranges, including the audio range. This makes it possible to create various modulation effects – from vibrato and tremolo to complex synchronization of timbre and amplitude.
In addition, each of the four synthesizer voices has individual settings for Pitch Bend range and Glide time, which allows you to control the melodic transitions and expressiveness of the performance for each voice separately. Independent panning of each module is available in the stereo field, which expands the possibilities of spatial mixing.
Patching and Interaction Capabilities
One of the most interesting features of Dark Four is the ability to “patch” – direct signals from one module to another, similar to working with modular synthesizers. Thanks to the intuitive drop-down menus at the bottom of each voice, you can easily connect:
- The output of LFO 1 of one module with the modulation inputs of other modules.
- The output of the Envelope of one module with the modulation inputs of other modules.
- The audio output of one module with the audio input or filter input of another module to create feedback effects or process one sound with another.
