Black Noh Snare is a sampled snare drum with 9 velocity layers for a natural dynamic range. Each layer includes 8 randomized samples (round-robin) to avoid monotony and add realism.
Recording and Microphone Control
The samples were recorded with two microphones: a classic SM57 on top (attack/body) and a Sennheiser 421 underneath (snares). The plugin allows you to independently control and mix the signal from each microphone, giving you full control over the sound balance.
Playback and Functions
The main snare drum sound is activated by MIDI note D1 (38). Realistic rimshots are available, triggered at a velocity of 121 and higher. For a natural rimshot sound, avoid the maximum velocity of 127.
